Career Evaluation

The Career Evaluation program is a good choice for alumni who want to take some time to consider their next steps, at any point during their career.

The goal: reflection

After five, ten, fifteen or thirty years in the working world, it?s normal to take stock of one?s career and think about what comes next. What path should I follow? Should I keep going in the same vein or try something new? Should I be an employee or an entrepreneur?

The Career Evaluation sessions set the scene for:

  • reflecting on one's professional experiences and successes
  • focusing on one's abilities, skills and motivations
  • building goals and getting feedback on them from others

It gave me the jump-start I needed to really dedicate myself to looking for the kind of job I want! I also enjoyed meeting Icam alumni from other generations and with different backgrounds. (Benoit D.)

A time to reflect and discuss

The sessions bring together about fifteen Icam engineers of all ages. They take place over two weekends, from Friday night to Saturday night, and prioritize constructive and considerate discussion.

What to expect: small-group workshops led by the Jobs/Careers team, presentations by external experts and stories from alumni.

Through these sessions, engineers can learn from other alums? experience: creating a business, taking over a business, navigating a career pause, etc. Useful for planning one?s own next steps!
