A 12 km walk between Joué les Tours and Artannes in the Indre valley brought together a handful of 81s on Saturday October 14th.

On Eric's (and his wife's) initiative, we discovered Gallo-Roman remains along a Roman road, with a hint of Merovingian and Carolingian, a little archbishopric, Saint Martin and Grégoire de Tours during a delightful hike with plenty of commentary. As the saying goes, we shared convivial moments late into the evening with many memories and anecdotes (Lob, Lolotte, Paulo, SJ, MI ....) and discovered some superb historical curiosities thanks to Eric in his museum in the making, a place worthy of Le Lys dans la Vallée. We invite all 81 of you to join us on future impromptu hikes.
