On September 29, 22 ICAM engineers and their spouses visited the Poclain Hydraulics site at the invitation of Olivier Lemaire (1992), assisted by Grégoire Guillaume (1993), Amaury Dupas (104), Nicolas Durlin (113) and Charles Antoine Beirnaert (107).
This family-owned company specializes in hydraulic power transmission, from design to manufacture.

Poclain Hydraulics continues to grow, employing 2,500 people worldwide. 600 people work at the Verberie site (Oise), the company's birthplace and headquarters.
A presentation of the company and its site gave us an insight into its dynamism and technical expertise. Its innovative production school, based on a "doing to learn" approach, offers excellent prospects for young people.
We then toured the site: the design office, the transmission endurance test room, the outdoor track for functional testing, and the manufacturing workshops (machining, metallurgy, assembly).
Participants were able to understand the technological and human challenges faced by the group in its research and development of new equipment. They want to meet the needs of their customers (agriculture, construction, etc.). They take into account technological developments and alternative energies that will replace fossil fuels.
The visit was followed by a convivial meal, which helped everyone to get to know each other better. New meeting projects were discussed.
Thank you, Olivier, for organizing such an instructive visit!
