Icam Liaisons - The challenge of the low-carbon transition

01 June 2022

Editorial

On March 18, 2023, the theme of our next meeting will be ecological transition. The subject is often addressed in media, family, political and societal debates. The IPCC report published in April alerted us to the urgency of climate change. Is our mobilization up to the challenge?

In this issue of Icam Liaisons, we want to show you that Icam and Icam engineers have resolutely taken the path of low-carbon transition.
Admittedly, we are only presenting a few examples, but they are significant in terms of taking into account the carbon footprint, adopting new professional behaviors, new business models, changing energy mixes and committing to a different, less carbon-intensive future.
We hope you will find this issue enlightening, and that it will encourage you to follow this path and support you in your commitments.
Our next issue, in autumn 2022, will look at reindustrialization, the issues and challenges involved, its impact on our lives as engineers, and the successes and difficulties encountered. Don't hesitate to share your stories and contact us if this topic resonates with your personal and professional life.
On Saturday June 11, during the association's general meeting to be held in Paris by videoconference, we'll be happy to share with you our achievements, orientations and projects (Career development, training modules, Entrepreneurship : creation, takeover and development..., Job offers).

Happy reading
