Icam liaisons : the strength of links

01 December 2021

Editorial

Icam liaisons 201 is dedicated to the volunteers of our Association. They are the soul, the backbone and the guiding hands of our Association. Thanks to them, we accomplish our missions within the Schools. Thanks to them, we experience the many encounters of our network. Thanks to them, we can support you in your professional life. In particular, through Emploi-Carrière and Icam à Vie e-learning. This issue of Students/Engineers, the strength of links highlights the actions of 530 volunteers. On your behalf, we say THANK YOU to all of them.

On June 18, 2021, our new website www.icam-alumni.fr was successfully launched. We'd like to thank all the teams who worked on its development, opening and improvements. And thank you for your visits and feedback to help us make it even better.

On October 16, 2021, our Icam Meeting on Artificial Intelligence (AI) took place in Toulouse, in France and internationally thanks to mutiplex, unanimously acclaimed by students, Management and engineers. Together, we're making Icam shine.

On All Saints' Day in Marseille, 150 students, employees, engineers and Jesuits took part in "Au Large avec Ignace". The event celebrated the 500th anniversary of the conversion of Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus: www.jesuites.com . On Saturday morning, these 150 people vibrated in unison as part of the Icam Family.

2021 also sees a change in the Icam liaisons editorial team. In 2018, Bernard Soret, 75 ILI, took over from Dominique Lamarque, ILI 64, as editor-in-chief. Their teams have produced high-quality work. Innovative, too, with the monthly Flash infos. Thanks to both of them, as well as to L-M Gaudefroy, J-M Heyberger, R. Baron and G Viard. Following in their footsteps, Patrick Rafin, 80 ILI, becomes editor-in-chief, patrick.rafin@orange.fr.

We hope you enjoy reading issue 201. Among the Association's many activities, there's sure to be one for you. Merry Christmas and a happy new year in 2022.

Bruno Vannieuwenhuyse (74 ILI), President of the Icam Alumni Association

Hubert Hirrien, Jesuit, Association Chaplain
